Well, you're right. We didn't waste our time here. There're some, maybe many, good expressions to learn. Some of them I've never seen. (like "Prospects of sth look slim", "stands no chance of",...) That's great, ladies and one gentleman! My comment: it's quite enough and informative. Especially I appreciate YOUR OWN examples, which show that you understand what you have found so far. This is something for you to consider: make the format clearer. It's rather hard for me to make a way through such a "jungle of words". After all, well-done freshmen! Keep on with it!
